Review of Skin Deep by Tee Ayer

Skin Deep

Mature Reader Recommendation: this book contains depictions of violence & torture

When Panther shape-shifter Kailin Odel discovers the body of a skinned shifter it throws her world into turmoil. The killers want her dead, her boss wants her out and all Kailin wants is to find the murderer before he kills again. She’ll just have to put her demon-hunting on hold until the killer is caught.

Enter Logan Westin, an agent that investigates the strange and unusual; a cop and a Human….

With so many lives at stake, Kailin must put her feelings for sexy and intriguing Fire Mage on hold, ignore the attraction between them and keep him at arms length before he finds out exactly what she is.
The closer Kailin gets to the killer the more she has to face the intricacies of her people. When the time comes can she accept who and what her real purpose is? And can she finally allow herself to trust Logan?
I loved this book! It was an absolutely brilliant twist on the Paranormal. I wasn’t bored, because I wasn’t reading the same old Paranormal book. It was mysterious, fast paced, and kick-ass. I will definitely be reading #2. This author has amazing talent.
