I went to lunch today with my Aunt Alberta and we both ordered a Build Your Own Burger. I had a burger on Ciabatta bread, with mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce with cheddar cheese. She had a turkey burger with grilled onions and ranch dressing. The experience of ordering from the build your own menu was efficient and easy and I thoroughly enjoyed having choices. It was a lot easier than ordering a burger and saying “don’t include this” or “don’t include that”.
The only downside to our experience was the fact that we were seated next to very rude people (see following Daily Rant post), but that’s in no way the fault of the restaurant. Our waitress was extremely friendly and upbeat.
The location of the restaurant we went to was in New Hartford, N.Y. They really lived up to their name and I was extremely satisfied when I walked out the door. Considering it is the only Friendly’s left in our area, I feel they are doing a very good job with keeping up with the additional business.
