Review of Back Away from the Shoes by Mila A. Ballentine

Overview:

Casey Sullivan never expected to be so connected with a pair of shoes, but when they’re stolen, she is determined to find a new pair of shoes that will make her feel the way that pair did. During her search, she comes across some interesting tidbits of information, that may just crack the case!

This author has a real knack for the little things. A lot of the things that most of us would skip over when writing, she brings to the surface and really makes you think. Twists and turns were all over this book, keeping me riveted and on the edge of my seat. I guess Cinderella wasn’t a fairytale after all; a pair of shoes really can change your life. The one thing that I HAVE to point out about this book, was the skillful way that the author kept you thinking about who the culprit might be. There was never a point in my mind when I thought I had it figured out and she didn’t completely shatter my idea with a simple sentence. No one will be able to see the ending coming. Great book!

  1. Thank you Genevieve for taking the time out of your schedule to read my book. I am honored that you’ve highlighted aspects of my writing that I will admit, I take for granted. I write because I love the art of words and the power they hold. It’s nice to know that the audience can visualize the worlds I create.
